The beautiful Pillar Inn was built in 1905 by local businessman Marcus Maurin, as a wedding gift for his daughter. The home has had several owners, but the current owner, Kevin Ward, has a special connection - Kevin's grandfather, Dr. Herman Koop - was an earlier owner and operated his medical practices in the house. The architecture of the building is described as a free classic Queen Anne with Colonial Revival details. The home has warmth and charm as highlighted by stained oak and maple floors, beautiful woodwork, and wrap around porch. Guests will take a step back in time as they relax on the front porch, in the front living room, dining room, or in their own room.
